2008, JRell began making music his passion, from participating in an artist showcase locally, winning the 1st place spot to being a national showcase. 
His inspiration was birthed from observations of an industry heavy hitter Eddie Pugh and discovered by his son Stretch (an unsigned powerhouse). 
This made JRell look back at the artist David Banner taking his inspiration to a whole new level while shining the sunraise of Nas to sharpen his skill. 
He's also been inspired by the struggle in life. His heart and soul bleeds into his lyrics as they are soulfully poured on a track. 
JRell’s presence in the Mississippi region is increased exponentially with the release of his second single “Dope Status”, featured Florida’s recording artist “Papa Duck” lending his talent from the Street Loot Music Group. The next release from Jrell-Rainman has come months later titled "Never Forget."  The Mississippi Rap Artist took a lighter approach with this record giving the world something to use as a source of motivation going "through" the struggle.
Mississippi is the launching pad for JRell, but he has connected with Aaron Harris of 74th Street Productions (Teaspoon Music Group-BMI) in Los Angeles, CA. This West Coast producer has experienced nationwide success with Tony Yayo, Too Short, E-40, Mick Boogie, Mickey Avalon, Dead Prez, Stretch and Dr. Dre’s “Pause for Porno; Chronic 2001 album.” 
Launching his new single "Believe," through Inner-GpRomotions, the overtone branded, “Hustle With Determination," he's teamed with experienced promotions in the marketing field. This connection certainly assures Jrell-Rainman up-and-coming place in the Hip-Hop/Music world. Now, backed with lengthy Industry experience it is certain we will be graced in the future with a lot more music by Jrell-Rainman, considering his success thus far all has been accomplished independently
Mississippi has birthed another ground smashing, thought provoking, anger controlled artist since the lyrical gamma explosion of David Banner.
